Some great debates: the uniform and surveillance cameras (Floriane)

Introduction

history of uniforms in schools gives rise to much debate among those involved. Should he wear a school uniform or not in schools? During our trip to England, I noticed that many students of all categories of school wearing a school uniform. I really did not think that uniform was worn much and I did not know there were different styles of uniforms according to the rule of the institution.

For or against

port

school uniform?

A person can be to wear the uniform because:

There is no distinction of taste in clothing.
There is no distinction of "affluence".
The uniforms are less expensive than brand name clothing for the family. There
the elimination of discrimination.
is equal pupils.
Everyone is obliged to have the same style of dress in the school premises.

A person can be against uniforms because:

The uniforms can ruin a person's personality.
Each person can have different clothing.
A person can express his character with his own clothes.
The uniform is perhaps not fashionable today's youth.

For or against

cameras

surveillance?

The history of surveillance cameras in public places gives rise to much debate among those involved. Whether or not to accept as many surveillance cameras at every street corner? With our trip to England, I saw that London was invaded by cameras, I did not know we were all tracked. At every street corner, we could see one or more surveillance cameras.

A person may be for the introduction of cameras because:

staff are needed so it avoids some unemployed people without work.
There is often a decrease in aggression.
There is often a decrease of criminals. Police
interested only criminals and not the model citizens.
The cameras can save lives.
can feel safe.

A person can be against the introduction of cameras because:

The cameras can be too expensive for a town hall and its inhabitants.
The violation of individual freedom.
can not enjoy being observed.
cameras may affect privacy.

The free time (and Amalric Tanguy)

Introduction

We'll tell you what we could do during free time but also what that one could buy, the structure of shops (different from those in France?). For that, we split the days.
To obtain advice, opinions and reviews different. Follow the guides!

Day One: Oxford (Tanguy)

I will comment on the first free time, he was given the mid-morning, it lasted 1 hour and a half. During this walk free autonomy we entered our first English store. They were very modern and very similar to French stores. The prices were almost the same in France they were probably a little lower in my opinion. These stores were mostly very large and offered a wide choice in products: Multimedia, press, souvenirs, etc. ...
The presentation of products in the windows was more careful than in France, the English must invest more than the French for advertising and decoration. To close this first free time I can say that I shoot a good appreciation of my first English store, you see what others know!

Day Two: London (Amaury)

After visiting the British Museum and eating on the lawn of an English park, we were released in one part of London. The merchants were very friendly but most of them (from me) were not all English. Yet they mastered the language very well. During this walk I noticed that the stores were not very great, except one: a giant sporting goods store! It was rather surprising in the middle of the street a building of this size. Anyway, I bought two shirts for almost nothing, and I am not complaining about the prices offered by the English!

Trosième day: Bath (Tanguy)

By the end of the meal we were set loose on the streets of Bath. After a few meters, we came across a designer who did your caricature for five pounds. One thing is for sure is that we were not disappointed. It exploded with laughter at seeing our cartoons and the worst in all this is that the designer does that put us five minutes to draw the same figure for the price! Towards the end of the ride I took a t-shirt Rolling Stones (expensive!) I advise you not to point with less than ten pounds if you want a t-shirt right.

Fourth and final day: London (Amaury)

On the last day we were released after lunch, free time for my last day 'had decided to buy some postcards. Damn! This time I was really shocked, the price was double that in France for the stamps! And as if by chance I had enough books to pay me just four stamps! It was annoying. To conclude and close the chapter on free time, I can say that the British shopping are very different compared to the French, beware of appearances!

Relationships with family and lifestyle (Marcelline and Amelie)

Throughout the trip, each night we tried to create a friendly relationship with the families who welcomed us. Some were successful and others less as Marcellina in her family. We could for example be noted that adaptation to language is not easy. The understand and express difficult. This is not the same thing when we talk about being the words are linked together much more quickly and do not "think" to respond. It is especially successful in be understood in spite of our focus. We also noticed that eating habits were not the same and the design of houses (mainly furniture) was very different.

The family of Amelia

During my stay I was greeted by Ms. Graig. From the first moment we saw her, she was immediately smiled, put at ease, talked and asked basic questions such as: "How are you?, How old are you? "Etc ... The first night she took us around his house, explained the system to turn on the shower ... She gave us our room, closets and things that we could use. She also showed us how operating hairdryer and other everyday objects. There was a very good touch from the start she managed to put us at ease! In our room, there were magazines like Closer public or written in French but there were also published in England Closer. We had at our disposal on television and later we had a DVD player. Later in the soirére, we offered our present. She was delighted and gave us kisses. She prepared the meals, everything was ready we just had to sit and eat. In the morning, we had to take our shower. For breakfast, we had jam, chocolate spread and toast. On other days, there was the same. Ms. Craig has talked less on other days due to lack of knowledge in the language of us. Habits Life is not totally different from ours. She is very friendly and we had a great time with her.

The family of Marcelline

During my stay, I was greeted by the Morris family. On leaving the bus, we discovered Mr. Morris. In the car, we asked some questions. Fortunately we were able to respond. Upon arriving home, we discovered his wife and baby a few months, very cute. He helped us fix our suitcases in our room and asked us if we were hungry. The time to install, it was downstairs. His wife has prepared for us to eat. When it was time to eat, three plates were prepared with our meal inside. First appearance of the family, it was pretty disappointing for me. They are not reported, told us nothing about the house. After our quick lunch eaten, we lift to our room without saying anything. In the morning, Ms. Morris has awakened by knocking on the door. Once standing, she quickly explained the system of the shower which is not common to that of France. After our shower taken, we got off for lunch. Breakfast consisted of cereal (two kinds) and milk. Then we lift our business prepare for the day. The moment of departure came, Ms. Morris has called us to leave. It was like this every day of the week. The last day we tried to get to ask them some questions but it was very short. No relationship has occurred in my family. Fortunately this was not the case for everyone. Despite the lack of communication between us and them, it's still very nice people.

Different lifestyles

Life in the English family is still different from France on a few points.
For example, we observed throughout the stay that the architecture of houses in the subdivision is very small All specifications.
For indoors, because we were not in the same family, we saw that the room toilet and bathroom, which are two distinct pieces in France, which formed only one in England. In several
bathroom was a shower system different from ours. In the family of Marcelline, a box was placed at the entrance part that we should operate in order to make the system work the shower. Once this system is initiated, it was enough to turn the shower to be able to adjust the water temperature and flow.
In the rooms, several small details we have hit. For example, often drapes and bedspreads are matched. We observed the presence of a small sort of lock windows surely prevent children from opening it.
During meals we've eaten, we found that it is composed mainly of starch. Maybe these meals were appropriate for pupils and that this was not the usual diet. At
days we spent in town, we were able to watch various street performances (concerts, animation ...).

Cruise on the Thames (Emma and Manon)

We left Westminster boat around 15:30. The cruise lasted about 40 minutes. It was interesting but did not understand what the English guide said he had a very particular focus.
We saw Westminster Bridge is a pedestrian bridge and road. Then we went under Blackfriars Bridge Road, which for us is more beautiful and better architected the Westminster Bridge.

We then headed to Cannon Railway Bridge and Southwark Bridge. These two bridges are very different, the Railway Bridge Cannon has more the impression of blockade while Southwark was built with a more elegant way.

We passed near the TB wer Bridge. This bridge is so radiant and majestic. Not to mention his two laps of a remarkable height and perfect symmetry. We had previously seen pictures of this bridge but the fact of seeing reality changes dramatically as it becomes better reflect its proportion.

During the cruise we saw buildings other than bridges such as: the Gherkin building resembling a gherkin, hence its English name.

There are also Tower of London is a former prison now where are kept the jewels of Queen Elizabeth II. We find that this building is quite impressive and it makes us think of a castle.

There is still Shakespeare's plays which we find quite beautiful architecture. This architecture brings to mind that of Normandy, called studs.

Finally, we saw the Mayor of London who has an original form because it is oval and looks like the tower of Pisa.

Then finally, the cruise ended, we got off the boat and walked around the city.
