Relationships with family and lifestyle (Marcelline and Amelie)

Throughout the trip, each night we tried to create a friendly relationship with the families who welcomed us. Some were successful and others less as Marcellina in her family. We could for example be noted that adaptation to language is not easy. The understand and express difficult. This is not the same thing when we talk about being the words are linked together much more quickly and do not "think" to respond. It is especially successful in be understood in spite of our focus. We also noticed that eating habits were not the same and the design of houses (mainly furniture) was very different.

The family of Amelia

During my stay I was greeted by Ms. Graig. From the first moment we saw her, she was immediately smiled, put at ease, talked and asked basic questions such as: "How are you?, How old are you? "Etc ... The first night she took us around his house, explained the system to turn on the shower ... She gave us our room, closets and things that we could use. She also showed us how operating hairdryer and other everyday objects. There was a very good touch from the start she managed to put us at ease! In our room, there were magazines like Closer public or written in French but there were also published in England Closer. We had at our disposal on television and later we had a DVD player. Later in the soirére, we offered our present. She was delighted and gave us kisses. She prepared the meals, everything was ready we just had to sit and eat. In the morning, we had to take our shower. For breakfast, we had jam, chocolate spread and toast. On other days, there was the same. Ms. Craig has talked less on other days due to lack of knowledge in the language of us. Habits Life is not totally different from ours. She is very friendly and we had a great time with her.

The family of Marcelline

During my stay, I was greeted by the Morris family. On leaving the bus, we discovered Mr. Morris. In the car, we asked some questions. Fortunately we were able to respond. Upon arriving home, we discovered his wife and baby a few months, very cute. He helped us fix our suitcases in our room and asked us if we were hungry. The time to install, it was downstairs. His wife has prepared for us to eat. When it was time to eat, three plates were prepared with our meal inside. First appearance of the family, it was pretty disappointing for me. They are not reported, told us nothing about the house. After our quick lunch eaten, we lift to our room without saying anything. In the morning, Ms. Morris has awakened by knocking on the door. Once standing, she quickly explained the system of the shower which is not common to that of France. After our shower taken, we got off for lunch. Breakfast consisted of cereal (two kinds) and milk. Then we lift our business prepare for the day. The moment of departure came, Ms. Morris has called us to leave. It was like this every day of the week. The last day we tried to get to ask them some questions but it was very short. No relationship has occurred in my family. Fortunately this was not the case for everyone. Despite the lack of communication between us and them, it's still very nice people.

Different lifestyles

Life in the English family is still different from France on a few points.
For example, we observed throughout the stay that the architecture of houses in the subdivision is very small All specifications.
For indoors, because we were not in the same family, we saw that the room toilet and bathroom, which are two distinct pieces in France, which formed only one in England. In several
bathroom was a shower system different from ours. In the family of Marcelline, a box was placed at the entrance part that we should operate in order to make the system work the shower. Once this system is initiated, it was enough to turn the shower to be able to adjust the water temperature and flow.
In the rooms, several small details we have hit. For example, often drapes and bedspreads are matched. We observed the presence of a small sort of lock windows surely prevent children from opening it.
During meals we've eaten, we found that it is composed mainly of starch. Maybe these meals were appropriate for pupils and that this was not the usual diet. At
days we spent in town, we were able to watch various street performances (concerts, animation ...).
