The morning inching away, we visit the city (thanks to our advance on the schedule) and we even have the right to a time Free. After this rapid discovery of small city, we head towards Oxford Castle.
After visiting the prison that was built in 1071 by William the Conqueror and is known for his methods of torture , we start go get enough (fast food again) except that we lack a bit of luck, it was rush hour! The restaurant is crowded, we ate in the street. After another free time we visited the city of Oxford starting with "colleges" and history.
A "college" is a place of residence for students who study at Oxford University, which itself lies outside the city. Each "college" is formed around a square courtyard, and each college has a chapel while the prayer is not obligatory. It says "a healthy mind in a sound body", which is why some students participate in tournaments rowing between colleges and between universities. Historically, race results could be written on the walls. They were the only "graffiti" permitted.
Then we saw the library, called Bodlean Library, where all books published in England are grouped.
We also saw the Radcliffe Library:
To end this day in this city full of history, we made an orienteering course and we went back to the bus to be taken to our host family.
